Piney Creek Falls is a 95-foot waterfall accessible via the paved Piney Falls Path (0.9 miles one-way) at Fall Creek Falls State Park. The easy, dog-friendly trail follows the scenic Fall Creek Bike Trail and passes through canyon overlook areas. The paved surface makes it ideal for families and less experienced hikers. Dogs are welcome on leash throughout the park.
No entrance fee applies to Tennessee State Parks. The path is currently open; note that a separate foot trail connector from the parking lot remains closed due to 2023 tornado damage, but the paved path access is fully available.
Year-round; water flow most reliable in spring.

tnstateparks.com official hiking-trail directory, checked Sept 2026: falls reached via the paved 'Piney Falls Path' (0.90 mi one-way, listed Open) continuing from the Fall Creek Bike Trail at the Dam. NOTE: the park's active trail-closure alert (from Aug 2023 tornado damage) separately lists a different connector, 'Piney Falls Trail (FCF parking lot to Piney Falls parking lot),' as still closed — that connector is distinct from the paved path used here, which is listed Open in the current trail directory. Dogs allowed per general park pet policy.
