An easy 1-mile round-trip walk through Hell Run to a waterfall and historic lime kiln at McConnells Mill.
Loading current conditions…
Hells Hollow Falls Trail at McConnells Mill offers an easy walk that combines a waterfall, creek exploration, and historic architecture. The yellow-blazed trail begins at the Hells Hollow parking lot, follows and crosses Hell Run repeatedly, and ends at both the waterfall and a historic lime kiln structure.
The main trail is smooth and level, making it accessible for casual visitors and families. However, the section immediately around the waterfall itself can become slippery and hazardous, especially during or after heavy rains. Use caution when water levels are elevated. Dogs on leash are welcome throughout.
The total round-trip distance of 1 mile makes this a quick outing, perfect for combining with other nearby McConnells Mill attractions. There is no entrance fee, and parking is available at the Hells Hollow trailhead.
Spring through fall; avoid periods of heavy runoff when the trail becomes slippery.
