Fallingwater Cascades is a series of smaller waterfalls and cascades dropping a combined 260 feet along a loop trail in the Peaks of Otter area of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The parkway setting makes this an ideal stop for those road-tripping along this scenic mountain corridor.
The moderate loop trail climbs on return, making it moderately strenuous overall despite accessible starting terrain. Spring and early summer offer full water flow and lush forest; fall brings vivid foliage. No entrance fee is charged on Blue Ridge Parkway lands.
Best suited to hikers with moderate fitness who appreciate a scenic loop and don’t mind climbing back to the trailhead.
Spring through fall; winter can bring icy conditions on the more strenuous sections.
