Eagle Falls is located within Cumberland Falls State Resort Park on the McCreary County side, near Corbin. The hike to the falls is Trail #9, approximately 1.8 miles in length with strenuous difficulty. This is the only trail leading specifically to Eagle Falls and is described as rugged.
Important considerations: The lower section of the trail may be submerged during high water conditions, so plan your visit for normal to low water levels if possible. Dogs are not permitted on this side of the park. The strenuous difficulty makes this suitable primarily for visitors with solid hiking fitness and experience on uneven terrain.
The trail leads to an overlook of the waterfall, offering views of the falls and surrounding landscape. No fee is required to access the trail. Check the U.S. Forest Service or Kentucky State Parks websites for current trail conditions before your visit.
Avoid during high water when the lower trail section may be submerged.
You're bringing dogs, visiting during high water, or prefer easier hikes.
